Tropic Macbeth is an original story based on The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Although the basic plot remains close to the original - a tragedy of murder and political ambition - this adaptation, set in the 1935 Caribbean, has a different story and new characters. This is a story of strong women and how they use men to achieve power, justice, and revenge. The decades-long hatred between the Orillan and Doncan families explodes when "the lady Macbeth" (lady Macbeth), uses her husband, the commander Macbeth, in a Machiavellian plan to overthrow the Doncan regime and reinstate the Orillan to their orginal power.
LatinUs’ adaptation was created, written, and designed by John Rivera-Resto. This scene is a murder scene with blood and gore (recommended ages 18+).
